{Moon-day}: Monday, literally from the Latin 'dies lunae' means moon's day. And a moon day it is indeed, or at least form me! Yesterday it was the Summer Solstice with the Sun entering Cancer and today the New Moon enters Cancer {my star sign}. No, I am not an astrology expert but from the morning I felt very emotional and without knowing all this I felt as something has happened overnight. Later I did some research and it turned out that the sequence of these events may means something for us all:
'New Moons take us into the dark, where we meet with the riches we hold inside...the hidden treasure.
The New Moon today in Cancer makes us more receptive to messages coming from the soul or imagination. Make time to daydream, if you can, or spend time being artful in your own unique way. This is no time to hold back....all hands on deck! It's a powerful moment to bring empathy, art, tenderness, love, heartfelt acts and words into the world. The New Moon is a time to let go of what we don't want, and cultivate what we do want. At this particular lunation, we are in touch with how unique we are, where we come from, our dreams, longings..and the mystery of what that story means as part of our destiny... We are not our credit score or statistic in a collapsing economy; we are not robotic automatons with hardened hearts. All New Moons are new beginnings, and this month heralds the de-icing of the heart, and return to the values of family...the human family'. (c) Martine Lemmens from here.
Whereas yesterday's Summer Solstice was reason for celebration for many, and even our local park was transformed over the week-end.... I went for a walk on Friday evening and everything was set up for the 'Paradise Garden', a two days festival.

This is absolutely gorgeous, is it in London?
Sunday was a mini landmark for me. I don't do New Years resolutions, I do birthday ones.
I hope your riches burst forth whatever the day.
Looks like a really fun day out! Some great shots there.
