Feeling lacy {Part Two - FASHION}

{Lace}: [a bit late] ...more on my new obsession.... today is FASHION, so this is the work of two amazing designers that I am so fond of.

Fashion designer RACHEL CASSAR uses recycled fabric for her womenswear collection. I love the way she describe her work: 'The challenge of using recycled fabric’s forces me to problem solve, and from problem solving comes ideas that would never have been made otherwise. So actually the limitations only force me to be even more creative in order to end up with an aesthetic result that is me'.

MAIDE designs Spats, Cuffs and Jewelry with antiques laces, needleworks and appliques from 1900-1930, that she collects.

This is how she describe her work: 'Years of experience in many different fields in the art of tailoring taught me to follow my own ideas and put them into reality.I produce accessories that can not be found in the regular fashion market. Those individual items are underlined by the uniqueness and the lovely details.Nostalgia is one main theme of my work which I can not deny obviously. I am not following any trends with my creations, but highlight each customer's very own expression, as various as my design'.

I absolutely adore her work, it's so original and unique, check her blog here and her shop here for more treasures from MAIDE.
