Landed last week on a busy airport crowded with tourists heading to Venice, instead I headed home to find that in my hometown little has changed. Life here, in the summer time evolves around making programmes for the summer holiday, at least one week at the beach is compulsory, streets and piazze will slowly become quiter more and more to reach the pick by Ferragosto - 15 August - as the people prepare to escape al mare from their daily routines. In the meantime local Fairs and local gatherings provide plenty of entertainment around the surroundings towns and villages.
For us at the Family Headquarters, we have provided our own entertainment, under the Portico or at the shade of an unfinished garage with improvised tables, you would have found us eating local produced salami, bacon and cheeses with polenta, handpicked rasberry with ice cream ....and more! Sunday it was my Birthday and I am sure everybody had a lovely time, chatting, eating and catching up with the latest, but above all for me it was nice to see them all like back in the days where opportunities to see each others were plenty and when rythms were a bit slower, perhaps that's one of the changes that have taken place even over here, people have less and less time to spend with family and friends perhaps too busy organising those holidays or victims of a global trend: an individualistic life signed by the urge of succeding with something as if it was the only way to prove that life is worth living...

Darling,
non ti conosco di persona, ma questo tuo post prova che devi essere un'incredible soul.
Buon Compleanno a Te.
Intanto goditi la terra natia fatta di smanie, ossessioni e stranezze varie, che noi notiamo piu' degli altri....e proprio per questo apprezziamo piu' degli altri.
Anna
