Frills, trimmings etc.

{on life}: Is it  or is it  not that frills and trimmings can make a difference … almost on everything... some of my latest frills includes some lovely grey pearls, a feminine  classic French fragrance and a cashmere blended cardigan….

{On trimmings}: I have been on the hunt   for some trimmings for a while now, the problem is that I go to the shop with  something in mind and I ended up with something different!

Ballet lessons…

{Ballet season}: This is the time where we normally would have got ready to welcome the Ballet season, a thrill at the arrival of the tutus and boxes filled with ballerina shoes…… overwhelming emotions at the beginning of the season : from joy to sadness on the last day of the season and then the flowers throw, a very classy way to end the show before curtain down… and voices from all over the auditorium screaming BRAVO BRAVO…. I miss those precious moments shared with colleagues and friends at the English National Opera, the quick run to the Dress Circle to have a quick look at the show to then rush quick back upstairs for the Ice-cream interval:Double Cream Vanilla, English Strawberry, Dutch Chocolate and of course Stem Ginger….and the fabulous programmes…..I miss Adam and Miss Hannah and Miss Stella and her charm ….and of course the Curtain Call with the fire evacuation procedures, everything the laugh, the Christmas drinks, the Double Shows, the Uniform …. Such great times, I regret I couldn’t keep in touch with anybody, but I am too scared of ruining beautiful memories, precious times spent together as a family ….those are times that I preciously keep and treasure in my heart and yes when it comes around to this time I look sadly at the posters on the Underground and think proudly I was once part of the glamour …..

Inspired by...

Bright Star a new movie by Jane Campion, since the day that the lavender field poster has captured my attention on a rainy morning. From the overcrowded train on a rushed morning, all I could think about was: – “I really want to go and see this movie”!Based on the  life of English poet John Keats and his love story with Fanny Brawne, this movie has inspired my latest colour and clothes choice… but  I haven’t seen it yet, in fact I was meant to go and see it  last night, but instead I went for an unexpected –unplanned tagliatelle ai porcini, caprese salad followed by an  affogato al caffe’ and ended up leaving too late and feeling too full….For sure there won’t be any more tagliatelle that would hold me back, I will  make sure I will   get myself to the  first cinema and enjoy every minute of it!

On trends – an organic lifestyle…

{Times}: The other evening I took a walk along a pavement fully covered with leaves and then yesterday I saw rubbish bags filled with the same  just standing outside a house, waiting for collection?  Civilisation has really reach its highest, we fill our pavements and gardens with litter but we can’t bare the idea of walking over a carpet of leaves …. where is common sense gone and even more is being green just a metaphoric term for being trendy?
