Indoor week-end?

..it looks like it! … with a terrible cold … Although it shouldn’t be too bad since I have been very restless recently and unable to spend some relaxing time at home… don’t ask me why - perhaps it has to do with my unsettled - untidy studio… Work is in Progress… fabric  laying around, beads rolling on the floor and needle and thread all over the places  … well … I will be lucky if I don’t prick myself on my sleep….

Although I haven’t got much of a plan in mind, it should be a great  time for gathering my thoughts and have a  full on creative week-end….

View… from the cascina

{From the window}: surrounding vineyards, lots of trees and plenty of natural beauty… I dare to say…this morning… allow me to – because instead I am looking at chimneys, black roofs  and plenty of urban beauty…so that’s life,    you always happened to desire what you don’t have….cascina2cascina8cascina1cascina8cascina12cascina14 cascina4cascina18cascina3cascina16 cascina6cascina7  cascina13cascina16  cascina9cascina11

In the wood [part II] …

{News from Italy}: since the return from his American trip, my friend Walter has been enjoying  long walks in the local wood, picking up mushrooms  and  chestnuts. I love how these images recreates the atmosphere of this time of the year in Italy, home produced wine with roasted chestnuts are being sold around local fairs, mushrooms and polenta is a seasonal must-dish around the kitchens in the Veneto region…

A special note: W. thank  you for these lovely images and email, it came as a surprise, I will be in touch soon!

In the wood…

{Working environment}: which has been a bit of an issue in the past few days… so tiring, so draining, I am starting to wonder if it is really worth going to work, having a job to earn money to spend for the sake of contributing to a globalised economy created to satisfy the thirst and the greed of few people…what is this status, this social requirement – you escape it for a while and you are fine, but the sooner you get back into it – you are back into a vicious circle, a system….[apologies - that’s for my poor philosophical thought of the day!].

But working under the trees would certainly make such a difference – what do you think?…

This amazing project is by Spanish architects Jose Selgas and Lucia Cano who have designed the office for their studio located on the outskirts of Madrid. As a roof a thin layer of acrylic resin – nothing else! Is the case to say: The sky is the limit! -

Busy … busy … busy!

{Time}: is flying and I haven’t been very much around in the past few days…. well it’s time to get organised – plans ahead for the next few months, plus some thoughts about reorganising my wardrobe …  I have been  looking around and besides woollen cardigans and v-neck, polo neck, crew neck …. well, there is not much of a choice it seems….

…. and  I do fancy a change …. a new look, some warm tweed skirts, woollen hand knitted jumpers and a vintage-inspired coat… a country look and maybe an escape to the country as well …. ASAP please!!
